Private Sessions I offer multiple options for private sessions, including one on one sessions, partner sessions or small group sessions. Each client will have a program that is tailored and custom to their individual needs! Some private insurance companies now recognize kinesiology sessions as a benefit for health and wellness so check your personal benefits to see if you are covered!
Hydrotherapy For some people, starting their exercise therapy program in the water is the best place to start! If you have been injured in a motor vehicle, sport, or work related incident, or you are recovering from a surgical procedure, hydrotherapy can be very beneficial to helping individuals recover and return to the activities and work they enjoyed prior to the incident! What is hydrotherapy? Hydrotherapy involves using water's properties to aid in the rehabilitation process through movement. What are the benefits? Hydrotherapy can help increase range of motion, flexibility, endurance, strength, relaxation, improve balance and coordination, and reduce joint pain and muscle imbalance! Exercising in the water can allow you to perform some exercises and movements that may not be possible for you to do on land!
ICBC If you have been injured in a motor vehicle incident, and are insured by ICBC, you have access to 12 approved kinesiology sessions within the first twelve weeks after your accident. I am able to bill directly to ICBC for these sessions and any others if an extension of treatment is required. An initial assessment to determine your current condition will be required, along with a written report, before I develop a treatment plan to support you in your recovery!
Exercise Therapy Classes I teach two exercise therapy classes called Use It or Lose It Level 1 and Level 2. Level 1, the introductory program, is designed for older adults who need to improve joint mobility, balance, posture, endurance, and functional strength in a safe and fun group environment! Level 1 provides a gentle program for people who have various health circumstances, including osteoporosis, arthritis, limited mobility, balance impairments, or for those who just want to stay active and independent. Level 2 is a more challenging class and is designed for older adults who want to maintain, build, and improve their strength, balance, reaction time, and agility and have some fun at the same time! This class is also safe for those who have had a recent joint replacement or people who want to strengthen prior to surgery.
